The History of Northfield’s League of Women Voters

The story of the Northfield League of Women Voters (NLWV) is one of women working hard to create local change in our community. To both show the breadth of NLWV activities and to highlight specific actions of the league, the story is broken into three sections. These topics were chosen based on archival research, oral history interviews, and from the wishes of current league members.

While this cannot capture the entirety of the history and current activities of the NLWV, we hope it gives you a taste of the work completed by these Northfield women and provides an opportunity to reflect on the impact of the League of Women Voters in creating change in communities across the country.
